Founded as the North Kent Decorative and Fine Arts Society (NKDFAS) in 1968, this society meets in the afternoon of the second Monday of each month, except August and September. The size of our venue (St John's United Reform Church Hall in Lynwood Grove, Orpington, BR6 0BG) is such that we do not yet have a waiting list so we always welcome prospective members who can come as guests for a small voluntary donation (£10 as suggested on the 'Joining us' page under the 'Our Society' tab). We endeavour to offer this 'visitor' possibility even if our meetings are ever 'virtual' using Zoom.

All members of our North Kent society are also members of the national society 'The Arts Society' and therefore receive the quarterly magazine 'THE ARTS SOCIETY REVIEW'. Moreover, if ever Covid-19 restrictions limit our meeting 'face-to-face', we shall hope to remain in contact with members by means of our own 'North Kent' Newsletters sent by email.

MONTHLY LECTURES 
In future, unless we are again prevented from meeting in person, we shall continue to meet at 2.0 pm on the second Monday of the month. If Zoom is used for 'virtual' meetings, the arrangements for accessing the meeting will be communicated to our members by way of our email Newsletters and/or by announcements on this website.

STUDY AFTERNOONS  

For each course a special charge is made for attendance. The dates are advertised here well in advance, but please keep watching this site for any last minute changes to the arrangements.

VISITS

We also normally arrange visits each year to houses, museums, galleries, gardens or exhibitions of interest.
